Inspiration: Into The Woods

Creating a world of escapism is what we love best at Fable. Scouring biodiversity and heritage archives for Victorian illustrations and vintage botanical prints, we thrive on nature and classic literature for a happy helping of fantasy; the weird and wonderful.

Inspired by fairy tales, our seasonal story for Autumn Winter 22 vividly casts our imaginations on a wild adventure, Into the Woods. Narrating a concoction of classic Brothers Grimm tales through enchanting woodland scenes.

Each collection begins with a narrative print. Our Nature’s Fairytale scarf sets the scene so perfectly. Check out the detail and crafty hidden references to some of our favourite fairytales: the glass slipper and pumpkin from Cinderella, magic beans and secret keys… we’ve popped a whole heap of magic into all of our prints to amuse and be discovered!


As part of our Into the Woods collection, we were jumping for joy when the brilliant British artist, Catherine Rowe accepted our invitation to collaborate. She worked closely with Fable to contribute to our enchanting story and spun a fairytale design specially for us to sprinkle her magic onto our beautifully crafted bags and accessories.
 


Our new bags include luxurious flora and fauna printed backpacks in vibrant autumnal tones, mini satchels & camera bags in vegan leather and beautiful pumpkin weekend bags in rich velvet and quilted cotton, all perfect for a cosy escape somewhere magical.

The large structured totes have been so successful, we’ve carried them forward with new prints in classic tan, black and forest green, all beautifully crafted from certified high grade vegan leather.


Accessories have been super sized: rounded dome velvet headbands and hair bows, plus we’re warming up for the colder months with super soft scarves and velvet bucket hats.


We have transitioned from crafting our handbags and accessories to vegan leather and recycled materials to reflect our love of the natural world. This influences not only our creativity but our conscious effort to always do better for our customers and the planet.
