Meet Orla: The Second Chapter of Divine Nature

There is a moment when summer begins to soften at the edges.

The days are still warm, the hedgerows are heavy with berries, and the last flowers linger among the leaves. But look a little closer and the season is already changing. The colours deepen, the evenings draw in, and nature begins its quiet transition towards autumn.

This is where we meet Orla, the second chapter of Fable England’s Divine Nature collection.

Named for the Gaelic meaning “golden princess”, Orla carries the story forward from Eve’s tale of beginnings into the abundance and beauty of early autumn. Told through a romantic, forest-laden Fable lens, her world is one of rich colour, woodland creatures and fading blooms — a celebration of nature at the moment just before it turns.

A world of the hedgerow

Orla’s palette is grounded in the colours of the season: deep burgundy, earthy khaki green, soft ivory and berry-like jewel tones.

Across the collection, ferns unfurl beneath foxgloves, climbing vines weave between leaves, and mushrooms appear among the undergrowth. Look closer and you’ll find the creatures of the hedgerow making their homes there too — curious squirrels, watchful owls, gentle hedgehogs and tiny wrens.

These details appear through delicate embroidery, bringing the feeling of a woodland walk into each piece. Velvet and faux suede add softness and texture, while faux croc introduces a richer, more polished finish.

The result is a collection that feels gathered from the landscape itself: a little piece of the hedgerow to carry with you.

A new shape for the season

Orla also marks an evolution in Fable’s silhouettes. Curved saddle bags return in new materials and richer autumnal tones, alongside contemporary details including wider straps, substantial buckles and tactile finishes. Designed to be worn cross-body, over the shoulder or carried by hand, they bring a more considered, contemporary edge to Orla’s romantic world.

Alongside them, a growing collection of mini top-handle bags introduces rich velvet and new embroidered embellishments — small, characterful pieces designed to be treasured long after the season has changed. And then there are the scarves: miniature landscapes in their own right. Framed by wrapped borders of mushrooms, ferns and berries, their quiet centres allow the intricate details to take centre stage. Wear one as a wrap, tie it around a bag, or simply admire it as a little piece of art.

Nature, with meaning

As with Eve, the details of Orla are not simply decorative. Many carry their own stories and symbolism.

The jewellery collection takes inspiration from the abundance of the hedgerow, with motifs chosen for the meanings they hold. Blackberries represent love, while raspberries speak to kindness and strength. The Wren locket carries a story of resilience and protection, making it a particularly meaningful piece to keep close.

The collection expands further with the new Pomegranate jewellery, brought to life in rich jewel tones. Full of symbolism and abundance, it sits alongside the quieter, earthbound charm of the Hedgerow pieces.

Each can be worn alone, layered together, gifted to someone special or collected over time - little reminders of the natural world and the stories we find within it.

Two drops, one story

Orla arrives in two chapters, allowing her world to unfold as the season does.

Drop One, arriving 1st of September, introduces the foundations of Orla’s world. A deep autumnal palette, woodland motifs and romantic spirit. Jewellery, scarves and signature saddle and bowling bags bring the first glimpse of the hedgerow to life.

Then on September 15th, Drop Two takes us further into the season. Quilted and velvet pieces arrive alongside new embroidery details and the Pomegranate jewellery collection, as Orla’s story moves deeper towards harvest.

From the first berry of late summer to the changing leaves of early autumn, each drop adds another layer to the world.

Where Eve explored the courage of a beginning, Orla finds beauty in what comes next.
