How to Adjust Your Huggie or Hoop Earrings

If your huggie earrings no longer close with that familiar little click, there’s no need to worry — it’s a small quirk of delicate jewellery, and an easy one to set right.

Why it happens

Our huggies are crafted in plated gold and silver —  beautifully soft metals chosen for their gentle shine and fine detail. With time and wear, the curved post (the tiny piece that clicks into place) may shift ever so slightly out of alignment.

Just a subtle adjustment is all it takes to restore it.

How to fix it at home

Open your earring and locate the curved post — the small piece that fastens into the hinge.

Using your fingertip, gently lift the post upwards, ever so slightly. Close the earring and listen for the click. If it still feels loose, repeat with the lightest touch until it clicks neatly back into place.

If it feels a little too snug, gently press the post down to loosen it.

It takes only a moment — and your earrings will feel just right again.
